Im at work, but should my laptop already have that or is it an add on?

Excel is part of Microsoft Office. If you don't know what Excel is, it probably won't do you any good to try and use it for bookkeeping. I would look at buying Microsoft Money or Quicken for managing financing.

And now for some serious help....

Jason, here is the spreadsheet I am currently using....

Hopefully this works. If not, send me a PM with your email, and I can email the spreadsheet.

Anyone is free to use it. I found it online, and edited it a bit.

EDIT: Just click the link, go to the file button, click "download as", select Excel, and save it to your hard drive. From there, you can input your daily/monthly earnings and spendings.

Oh yea, and the first page is just the over-all year view. At the bottom, you can switch between months.

how do you know google isnt keeping track of you lol

so is that about as easy as it comes? When it says budget, then actual, is budget what you have in your funds for that column and then actual is what you really spent on that or what?

you can use openoffice's version of excel for free.

but its pretty complicated if your not serious about learning it(i consider excel the same way).

Yea, that way you can plan out your paycheck. Like, in my one at home, I budget $50 a month on fuel. Then, when I fill up, I put down how much I actually spend.

That way, you can guess-timate how much money you spend in the month, and see if you are right. Helps if you are planning on buying something later, and need to plan out where each dollar goes.

You absolutely can....you can add whatever you want. However, all of the pages are linked so they total up properly. If I were you, I would try to change one of the ones you don't need into something you do need. The formulas are all the same, just change the heading. If you need more rows, let me know. I can help you with that.
