Don't know about FS but they do have the Pacific Ocean.

That's what I'd like to know. Neither the answer to this question nor the "Happy Planet Index" are to be found online yet. However, I asume this index has some meaning to it.

I asume tha you could, since you did...
No point-making was intended. I just wanted to share with you. Would you rather I didn't?

With what?
Do you? ..............................................................................Then why are you asking?

I know the earth does not have enough resources to sustain our present population whatever we do.

I am very sorry that I am unable to answer all of these fundamental questions. But I do wish you luck in your quest for them.

beautiful answers shekes. i enjoyed as i have lived in 2 third world countries (zimbabwe and zambia, a second world country (south afica- its definately not third world but not third world) and a first world (taiwan). good article. thanks for sharing.

Do you know that Zimbabwe came out last(!) on this list?

Do you have a comment?

if its resantly, then no. if is an atroscity whats happening there. the happiest years of my life were spent there my future was being built there and i watched the start of the end, lost things as a result. so no, no suprise.african third worlds would scare the socks off most of you. seriously. and i am talking about living there, not being a tourist or working there for like 3 months

How ironic! That is a could illustration of how little general often relates to individual.

So are you African, Taiwanese ..?

The problem here is these people do not have the drive the west has it is hammered into children to be successful have the big house have the nice car. When you have none of those goals life is a lot simpler. For example you have a boating accident fined your self washed up on an island you have enough food and natural resources on this island to survive. BUT the problem with a lot of us we crave attention of others and the desire to succeed. So with no one to compete against this man who technically is living in paradise is now suicidal. We spend the bulk of our life working (well I do) The more hours I put in the more money I get but its less time with my family and doing the thing I want to do with that money. But don’t work and I can’t have theses things. At the end of the day People quickly get used to all the new things money can buy and it all starts again. Then again they say Money is the root of evil. Perhaps it is.

I am south african on my passport but count myself as african as i spent many years in each african country. all my generation long for the old zimbabwe and would move back in a heart beat if it could go back to that. some years back zim was very strong and the the food storage and supplier for SADC. but quickly went to ruin due to governmental disasters and horendous acts of intimidation and bullying.
