My rents say they are scared of Sav's, But they seem to think Ackies are cool, pretty odd, I think Ackies look a little creepier. But Ackies are better for a beginner like me, so it works out.
Ackies are great begginner monitors. Very interesting to watch especially in a group. I have heard nothing but good things from them. If you can afford them(and they are pricey) I would get them over a sav.
A sav or some ackies are going to cost a lot of money to start up either way. My savs cost me over a thousand dollars easy in the first 8 months. Ackies will cost you about the smae or more since the actual cost of an ackie is over $200.00 and evrything I have read ackies do beter in groups.. Just make sure you are ready for the financial commitment of these eating machines and have there cage built before you get one. If you also plan on moving in the future make sure the place you are going will accpet them. It would suck if you put all the money into them and had to find them new homes.
