Mono developing nuchal hump

Nice looking mono

Good looking hybrid if you asked me. Good colors to. I still haven't seen a pure bred cichla with a "flag" tail. Or a mono that green.

I bought him as wild caught,if hybrid what could it be?any idea's? Here is my other one

In my opinion....hybrid cichla show the "flag tail" pattern. Usually a mix between a mono x ocell. Looking at your other one it, to me looks like a hybrid as well between mono and ocell. Heathy bass non the less. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bias between pure and hybrids. I like what I get.

They eat anything i offer them,there about 10",i do see yellow in them as well,and the second will show a purple haze on its body at times as well

He's about 10",it just started to show about 2 weeks ago and seems to grow daily
