Well this has been along time coming. I have spawned this pair by the them selves all this year in a 125g.. Til they were too big to continue.. The whole time I had NO TIME to completely focus and have lost all the fry.

I managed to keep 3 fry from the second spawn.. I believe it was the second spawn.. But anyway.. they were approaching a centimeter when i had to put them in a net to house a 4" Mono. The only filtration I had was a sponge.. This turned to be a very huge ERROR :( Lost all three in a mild spike..

Anyway.. I have kept it simple since.. And have placed them in the living room Community tank.. Posted in another thread ;)

Since placing them back in this Monster Community.. They Spawned again.. 07.12.2008..

This is the Sequel thread to the thread below :D

That's really cool! Great shots of the spawn!

Gorgeous pair of monos. Not too surprised they spawned in the community tank. My pair did it on several occasions. Good luck with this batch. Like you I never had time to fully devote to my pair and I regret it now.

This has been my common thought too ;) They are not your average cichlid beige colored eggs ;) They hatch ;) I have video proof of the past spawns the eggs are initially this color all the way til hatch.

THough I have not perfected hatch...

See ;)

Most make this conclusion myself included... But Diesel's look just like mine and his and mine have both hatched ;)

Wigglers from eggs of same color ;)

It is very hard here.. The fungus kills allot of the eggs after a few days.. Though the current ones are looking good.. I still have allot of work to do...If they do not fungus.. Once an egg fungus hits.. The rest of CICHLA eggs are prone.. Weather they are good or bad..

The eggs you see are beige still.. Just not like any other cichlid eggs I have hatched... Though they do turn WHITE unlike the eggs in the pics when they go bad. ;)

congrats again braddah tongue... looks like they feel more comfortable with a lil adversity... lol..
