so the size limit for bass in CA is only 9"?

Truthfully a 9" bass is too small but I preferred 11-13" bass for frying.

yu know i do not remember, been almost 20 years,. and more than likes changed, I just know what was a good pan fry size. and did not want to keep the lunkers, and no use in the the smaller.

So you wouldn't be a fan of salmon fishing, when we stand in chest waders in a stream 15 foot across and roughly three and a half deep while we watch as our reels freeze up in 20-30 degree weather?
