Monster 822 gallon (ext) aquarium build thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The pictures have me a little confused.. lol. It looks like the sumps are being drained from the center reeflo pump, but you say there are internal pumps in those sumps now? The internal pumps drain the sumps straight back up to one of the return nozzles on each side? And the reeflo is also draining both sumps, tees off and then is feeding all the canister filters and being returned to the other return nozzles?
Okay so you did a better job at explaning it than me.:ROFL:Yes, the internal have there own pumps to return water back to the tank through a set of returns, and also there is water being used by the Dart from the sump, to feed the canister, then returned to the other two returns in the over flows. This worked out well because the overflow drains, are flowing a great deal of water.

Looks great so far can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks, its about done actually, other than hooking up the drip system, and addaing a few pieces of wood and rocks. Its another typical monster tanks as the rest of them on hear, I am just happy to be apart of the MFK monster tank fraternity. :)

Ah ok, that makes sense. I bet you're going to have some crispy clear water! Huge tank man cant wait to see it stocked

I hope this does well for Biological and Mechnical filtration.

Ah rats! That means I'll have to get 8 of them :(
Yep, unless they forgot mine, they are about $15 buck apiece locally, but I am sure you can order them for less. I figures since that was the only thing I needed, by the time I found some on line and paid for shipping, it would still come to about the same amount

well I finally put some rocks and wood in the tank, also I have added my T-5 light with time control for day light, dusk and moonlight. They are pretty nice, well worth the money..
