That is a Fly River Turtle.

Love the new additions. Fred, your set up is total awesomeness.

Thanks so much Suzans, just trying to make it as simple as possible. Less Maintenance more viewing time..
Plus I am going to eventually install a RTL 100 and plumb directly into the tank as you have.

Wow amazing job!! I saw the wall and at one point thought you planned on leaving it unpainted then came back and saw it painted with the chairs had a bit of a yippy fit. really nice work man, what happened to the gold fish but =( little man made that tank.

I would also suggest depending on the type of wood used to add a venting fan or even a grill or 2 last thing you want is the frame growing mold and breaking or even worse the house always better safe then sorry ;)

Thanks, I apprecaite that, though I am not sure what "yippy fit "means, and I have been to Perth and Sydney. :) The decor is the wifes part of the deal, she wanted a clean simple viewing area, and that's why there is no crown molding or handle on any of the panels.
The wall is not as sealed as you may think, there are lots of area where air and moister can vent, but if I start to see any warpping of palnel, mold or mildew, I will throw in a fan of some sort and vent it out the back wall.

hahaha Perth is nice dont like Sydney myself lol. yippy fit is a fit of saying yippy with a little cheeky foot dance ;D. your wife did a really good job also in that case. yeah if there are gaps it should be fine hard to see from the picture but I think I get it. So when can I come over and sit down on those comfy chairs ? :D

lol- what's up with that Koi? Is he supposed to be a big feeder or are you actually trying to keep him around?

Drip system is looking good! Those are going to be some happy fish with all that fresh clean water flowing through the tank.

Thank you, I will tell the wife, her work is well received.:)
As for Perth and Syndey, I loved them both, very warm and welcoming country of people.
Sure, if you ever make it this way, we can sit down in the comfy chairs with a cold beverage of you choice and talk fish, sound like my kind of day.:headbang2
Nice

:ROFL:, you noticed! Actually a buddy of mine that does tank maintenance was given the fish from a guy that was switching from fresh water to salt, so he had a few fish he wanted to get rid of "mostly african cichlids". So after seening what he had, and the koi being the biggest nicest thing he had, i thought I'd rescue it from the dreaded pet shops around here. Plus it added some much needed color to my tank. Besides I thought you might get a kick out of it.:D So as long as he continues to eat and grow he'll be fine, there is nothing in my tank that's big enough to eat it, but the Tig cat, and he does not bother it at all.

wow the severums look so small you said you wanted something blue why dont you get some jack Dempseys there a bit aggressive but in a tank that big they might be fine otherwise i would say for something a bit different get some uaru there not blue but that have a lot of personality

Yes, I have consider getting on male JD about 6'', and though it's a very common fish, I can't seem to find any at that size available. Its always that way when you are looking for something. Yes, the tanks does makes the Severums look pretty small to be 6-7''.lol
