what kinds of barbs out there will exede 6''. the only one i know of is the tinfoil barb. PLEASE LIST THE COMMON NAMES. im not good at the scientific names.lolol

t barbs get about 7 inches long and 2 or more inches high. A similar fish bala shark gets to be a foot long too.

there are hampala barbs that get huge and eat fish, there are actually a quite a few out there......someone more into this type of fish will have answers for you

Mad Barbs (Leptobarbus hoevenii) can get to over 3 feet in the wild so I'm assuming probably around a foot in an aquarium. I have one that's already at least 6 inches.

There are also gold and albino and glass tinfoils for a color difference.

I have two lemon finned barbs (aka pale barbs) that are 18 inches long each: they are in the 90 and I also have two fairly big red tinfoil barbs in the 65 underneath.

both are great barbs to have if you like big fish.

I am putting together a 150 gallon set up for the two 18inchers slowly but surely.

just bought another XP3 the other day:headbang2

soon. I bought an extra XP3 while they are on sale here, so I am beginning to put together parts for the setup.

I am looking at an AGA brand 150 gallon.

it seems to offer a good bang for the buck in terms of what you get for what you pay.

the 180 of course would be better, but there is quite a leap in price, and I want everything brand new (other than existing filters and stuff that I have)
