My new Monster Filter Canister project is complete. I went with the Starite PXC125 and the Unicel C-8413, 125 sqft cartridge. This replaces the four Ocean Clear canisters that were cumbersome to maintain.
The PXC125 will also hold a C-8417, 175 cartridge if I want that would be equivalent to 7 Ocean Clear canisters!
The install went well with the dual Reeflo Marlins feeding a 2" inlet and the PXC125 2" outlet feeds four 3/4" carbon tube lines for biofiltration. I am getting some additional flow with lower pressure due to elimination of the several 3/4" lines via the Ocean Clear units.
