i used to have a bright red crayfish bout 8 inches long and he got tag teamed by my channels 
but i didnt know he bred and there were 2 babies bout 2-3 inches long when i cleaned out my tank 1 YEAR LATER! but the more dominent one killed the other and now i have one 4" crayfish thats bright red in a 10 gallon tank

I had some unknown blue native crayfish. Was crazy but mellowed out in his old age - I had him for 6 years! He died last spring, after a month of going down hill. He seemed to be paralyzed near the end; flipping over, his tail curled up, etc.
He was a great crayfish though
