monster discus tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is an incredible tank for discus! Because of the size of the tank it looks like you have juveniles in there, but that pic with your hand next to some of your discus discounts that!

I would have expected it to be thicker than that. I was thinking about an inch or so.

Honestly it may be. I am just a lowly service tech/freshwater livestock mgr. Husbandry is my game. I let the design and install teams worry about glass specs for me.

Beside the public aquariums, this is the best discus tank I've sene. Great work!!!

Fantastic looking discus and aquascaping. Nice work!

Looks nice, but must be a pain to clean:grinno:

Thx to all. Maintaining this tank is actually a snap. I do a 75% wc/gravel vac once a week and service the two Ehiem 2262s once a month on avg and replace the Purigen as needed. That's pretty much it lol. Besides throwing a magnet on the glass and straightening up the gravel line. I will admit the wc is time consuming. Takes about two hrs.

I added that pic of a member of our install team inside for scale. That was during some minor repairs to the air pump bulkhead shortly after the tank was installed. The tank has been running fully stocked for almost a year now and is virtually algae free.:naughty:
