I made this for my soon to be 300 gal

i made out out of some spare PVC pipes left over from my dads pond plumbing

what do ya think?

its 1,1/2 diameter for a return line for a Quiet One 14000 pump ( has a 1,1/2 as well, and its about 3625 gph) the kind of line im going to use is a 1,1/2 reinforced vinyl tubing.

i want to reduce as much turbulence in the water as possible so i The spray bar is 24'' long and has 11 half inch diameter holes, i havent cemented the spray are to the tube yet as i havent decided if i should have it face straight, angle or down. im assuming facing it in a downward angle would be the best way( my aro dont like turbulance that much)

Looks good! Monster piping for a monster pump!

Thats a pretty smart idea. I would have never thought to do that... I am about to steal your idea for my tank.

Maybe you ought to start selling them on ebay for $30 a set while your at it.

nice job, just make sure that you have a check valve or an anti siphon hole cut out to prevent any back siphon problems if the power goes out. It looks like you are going to have it low in the tank and I have heard to many bad stories.

Just drill a 1/4 hole in the top near the water line and it will break the siphon.

Nice project :grinyes:

very nice D

are you going to cap the end of the bar?
