Im making a smaller ver of yours for my fluval 403, only with 1/2" PVC. looks pretty good to. :thumbsup:
 
I wouldnt cement the bar in place at all, that way its always adjustable! I have made similar spray bars etc for my tanks and sump filters and I like to leave certain parts not cemented together so I they are adjustable or can be dismantled easily ;)

As long as the joints arent under too much water pressure they shouldnt leak, but I do cement joints that need to have a good seal or will be under strain

yes i did think about that

but since the spray bar will be capped at one end im almost sure the pressure from this pump will eventually blow it straight off.

thats why i want to cement it, i want a final position before i cement it, but im not sure bout which position i should put it in
