Here's an update on her, she's about 18 inches or so right now and I'm thinking if I should transfer her into the pond. She's in a 75 gals right now and as you can see the water is green I think my OHF can't take the bio load anymore.

As soon as I can get hold of a net to cover the pond I'm gonna transfer her to the pond.

18" fish in an 18" wide tank...i think it's ready to be upgraded. give that thing some turning space.

Thing is WC more often is not enough...

then sell some fish or get a bigger tank.

wow...... another "gator to small for the tank" thread. you would think people would (as jordan said) use common sence. but i actually read that people had decent thought out plans for them.

This was never "another gator to small for the tank" thread. If you would start from the first page, I got this gar at around 4-5" and if you would continue to read the whole thread there was a plan to transfer my gar once it has reach or exceed the width of my tank.

So I would say not only was common sense used here but someone really had a plan for this fish:popcorn:

well atleast you had a plan for the fish unlike alot of other people. i just read the part about an 18" fish in a tank 18" wide. but anyways sorry for the misunderstanding. and good luck with him.
