Monster Eel Update

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That eel was given away for free about a year ago, and has been making the rounds since.

Awesomeness!! How long did it take to get that beast up so large? Seems like peeps can't keep them that long because they take fatal exploritory expeditions outside of the tank...lol. Congrats on a grrrreat fish! Now post up some of those pictures of the super snakeskin guppies you got in return for the trade!! :D

This is only the third owner since the original....

It actually almost died a couple of months ago. :( The new owner didnt realize how strong this beast was and it got out of the tank. He found it after a half hour UNDER neath his stand. To save it he had to skill saw the bottom of his stand out while not cutting the eel!!!

Luckily the eel survived thou the stand did not...lol

sweet eel,sweet deal.

seeing that you say it would be easy to get him back whenever you want I assume the guy you traded it to lives in Cali,or driving distance.....

and then, seeing what else he has in the tank,I can make "educated assumptions" (quite the oxymoron) on what the trade was.....

If I'm right than three words: " hook it up!"

LOL ,we'll probably see each other at the ACA convention lemme know what you know and I'll let you in on what I know,LOL

(because I know I don't feel like driving to OR)

One of the LFS's that I used to frequent in AZ has a Fire eel that large that's been there for at LEAST 15 years that I know of. It's housed in a display tank in the back and everyone who stops by has to visit at least once before they leave.
