Monster filtration.... for my 10 gallon?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the input everyone. I think if I'm allowed to have this tank I will try having the goldfish in it. I will start out small and as the fish grows I will add/change filters. If I notice any problems with the fish, then I'm sure I could talk people into an upgrade ^_^

on my 10g tank i have a Tetra EX20 with custom done filter media configuration, a hydro 10g sponge filter, and i'll be picking up an ehiem 2236 later this week... i like to overfilter a bit :nilly:

I'm definitely going to overfilter this thing but I'm going to wait until the fish grows. I got it now in a temporary tank and the fish is about 1.5" I'm also considering buying his upgrade tank after the 10. How's a 60g hex sound?

Goldfish do not belong in a 10g...............AS for monster filtration, try building sump out of a 5 gallon bucket........Drain the the 10g by way of PVC piping and have a return pump that is not so powerful..............In the long run, you should become a saltwater hobbyist.........Because of the small tank restriction, but the wanting of asomething BIG, a saltwater NANO tank should be the sum of this 10g................

I must agree with this. But if the 60 gallon is in the near future, then go for it! :)

Well I got the 60g. Needs a little TLC but I'm willing to work on it and make it look real nice. I couldn't resist getting it for only $40 :)
