Well this past saturday I did a 50% water change :irked: and this morning 13/ 16 clowns were dead 1.5-2.5'' in length in a 50 gallon . today is thanksgiving here in Canada and I'm bumbed, normally I would just do a 20% wc.
just purchased a 125 from from lfs for these guys , oh I just wanna cry!

that sucks, do you keep track of your water parameters?

Sorry for your loss.....so many possible reasons....I had three precious NTT die recently from the loss of my airpump.....

Something else going on then just the water change. I do 50%+ water changes on my tank every week and have never had an issue with my shoal.

Sorry for your loss.

with such a large loss after something such as a water change, it could be that your city put a bunch of chems in their water supply. i have heard many times of hamilton/stoney creek/burlington overdosing their water supplies over the top like that, and have caused widespread deaths in pet/fish stores as well as private collections. you'd think they'd have to notify the residents before doing that, whether it's by newspaper, local tv station or whatnot.

Wow! Never really thought of that, but see how it can happen.

Bluetuna,
Sorry for the loss of the 13. Keep us posted.

So sorry about your wipeout :(

Hope that doesn't deter you from trying them again.
