Ok just my nationality is Hmong, if you don't know what that is well it's a long story but.....china, laos, thailand, and now some in the US...mostly in MN.

My dad had this picture for a long time and I've always wonder if it is real. I've never heard of anything like this but Hmong people have always talked about a loch ness like creature in the waters. We call it something like a dragon that is not just creature but something a little supernatural also. I don't believe much in this stuff but I do believe there is a creature/animal/fish that is very huge in the waters that is why there are stories. However this picture when looking at the eye for the fish seems fake. I'm sure somebody has to know a little about this picture and would like to share with the rest of the world. I love this pic.

Wasn't it an Hmong man that had that interaction with the hunters up there?

Hmong, proud mountain people who have battled against all odds for the last 100 years!I do belive such monsters exist ( or existed, since modernity is encoraching on everything..even on me)..I do not believe that (1) the US army ( although not exactly a model in my opinion ) would make a prank out of this; (2) a prank would not survive unknwown with so many guys involved; (3 ) I have seen animals with more fake looks and yet they existed..not so long ago there was footage in MFK of a deep sea shark that was captured in Japan..it looked ureal, yet it was alive...if instead of footage we had only seen still pixs perhaps some guys would have said that it was not for real...
just my 2 cents
cheers

Wow, never seen one. Wonder if li or oddball has one yet.

There were two different altercations within 2 years. Doesn't matter who was right or wrong, we all need to get along. I don't want this to become a race thread however. Hmong people helped the US in the secrete war that much US doesn't know about.

I'll go check out more on this OarFish. Wow with that size what do they eat?

Ok so they do exist, so much for the mysterious mythical dragon that take people down to their deaths..:nilly:

Here's a better pics from the net without my glare from my digi cam.

Oh yeah they only I eat planktans, squid, and shrimp and are harmless to humans....so far..haha. I also read that they taste like paper when cooked.

Wow!! Awesome oarfish (Regalecus glesne). These seldom seen beasts have been documented up to a little over 26 feet!!

Have a pair I'm trying to breed...............NOT!!!
