MONSTER FISH suggestions for my new 150gallon tank?? HELP!

i just got a 150 gallon freshwater tank. and of coarse, i want some MONSTER FISH to put in it. but i need help picking out some good tankmates that are going to do good together. i havent had a "big fish" tank before. here are a couple fish i have always wanted to get... what do you think??

-arowana
-giant gourami
-peacock bass
-pacu

i dunno.... would these fish even be able to go together??

Nope not all together they would all be too big to keep in that tank size,Maybe a pair or trio of aros and some cats,Or just one pacu on its own.You could keep a GG but it may be uncomforatable in that tank.Aros are the best option.

what if i had a aro or 2, a gg, and one pacu?

sorry to tell you this, but your tank isn't big enough for any of those species.

Silver arowanas are the most common, and get about 4 feet long (in an aquarium, more like 30")
Jardini arownas don't get as big, but they are much more aggressive.


What are the dimensions of the 150? I've seen 4' 150s, 5' 150s, and 6' 150s.
Lima shovelnose catfish are REALLY cool (I think so anyway) and don't get too big. There are loads of cool polypterus species (bichirs) that get pretty monstrous as well. Also, I think you should look at datnoides. They grow ridiculously slow, but big ones look awesome.

well of coarse if they ended up too big for my 150g tank i would relocate them.

as for the tank, its a 6'.

some large south american cichlid pair

I would stay away from the fish you listed. How bout Lima, couple cichlids, and a school of redhooks?

Here's what i would stock the tank with...

1x Leichardti
2x Endlis
2x Ornates
2x NTT and IT..(One of Each)

Otherwise go for salt..

Get a Moray and a Radiata Lionfish..
