i have several ponds that we fish in and am thinking of stocking one of the smaller ones with some very large fish for some sport fishing. any ideas of what fish would grow fast and big. the ponds are well away from any natural water sources so escape is not a worry.

nope not in a little pond you would need a plentiful source of food and unless youare overrun with little panfish but if you wnat to try in your area i would only suggest big cats but there is a guy that will stock your pond with only monster bass and other game fish cant remember his name but hes from texas you could also try some pike

the littl pond is about 15 foot deep and about half the size off a foot ball field. there is tons and tons of shiners, minnows, bluegill, etc. im looking for something bigggg adult pacus, 4-foot+ cats ect.

that is why i was looking for something fast growing. they could probaly go in about late april and the water temp usually stays above 70 until september

we have alligater gar locally. maybe something related to them but bigger. they are ugly as sin but fun to catch.

on the pacus i can get bulk shipments of 2-3" fish about 50 of them for $50 to $70 depending on supply
