Monster flagtail

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
He’s doing well (assuming male because it’s so slender and females are typically more rounded)

Very peaceful, hasn’t bothered anyone that I have seen. My big ocelaris felt a bit insecure with it being so big in comparison but no real squabbles.

Slow to eat, but takes pellets and just as of yesterday caught it sucking on the glass. Still seems happy. I suspect this is the biggest tank it has ever been in since being bought.

Yeah I wouldn't characterize Flagtails as being aggressive feeders, more the slow methodical, non-stop eating type. As he gets more and more comfortable he'll be cleaning more and more of that glass, etc. I'm sure. But he's looking good!

I’m not sure but it looks like this guy might have hith. Are the pits on this guys head typical of a big flagtail? Is is scaring, or currently pitting of its head? Not sure if I understand what it looks like yet.

He looks great! Makes me want a flagtail again!
