What would be the minimum amount I should have. Ive heard of aggression issues. I plan to start with the penguin filter. I want the stand to be about 2 feet off the ground. Do you think cinder blocks would make a decent stand.

Save up until you can afford a nice canister filter (Rena,eheim or fluvial). Even with one decent sized monster in there you will be glad you spent on better filtration. Good luck to you
