Well guys, I havnt seen him since i hooked him. And I've gone pretty much every day. Thrown mulberry out several times, but nothing. I usually don't quit, but this is an exception. I give up. Just too hard, too much food in the lake...sigh. Oh well, I have a new goal. The park with tons of grass carp suposivly has a 60 ponder in there, seen last time th electroshocked it. I'm heading down there tonight, just before dark. Let's see if I can't snag a few, wish me luck. I'll have pics!

Bad conditions last night.
Couldn't get the bait into the water without it being blown off the hook due to the harsh winds. Then a thunderstorm came. Oh well, I'll try again tonight, wish me luck!

I give you credit for fishing in this heat . I would think night would be worse time AS they sem to prefer early am . At least you hooked him. I never even had a nibble nothing ever .
We are leaving for a week tommorow for UK for vacation and wouldnt it be funny if I caught one there lol.
I wont get to fish but would think better chance there than Florida as these Florida grass carp will NOT bite .

Nice looking fish. I like carp find them kind of noble looking . We are actually heading there tommorrow and though would love to try my hand at finally catching carp. My wife would freak .
The Royal palace and other countless land marks instead of fishing lol.

i caught a 3.5' grass carp that weighed ~35lbs about 6 years ago. i caught it on a bread ball and i dont think it even realized it was hooked cuz it didnt fight at all.

Anyways, I'm back. Took a little break from fishing.
And saddly, I havn't seen this monster for quite a long time. I visit the pond once a week. But nothing. I think mostly cause a lot of this pond's algae and grass has died out, due to spraying. And the pond has gone up several feet from the rain. I mostly go to a manmade lake near a park that has brillieant fishing. Lots of bass, the occassional gar, huge bullhead. Supposivley lake trout, and even crappie! And crappie would be a treat for me.
