Yeah we are talking about the same thing. This is not an injury? It looks nothing like the 8" Odoe I had (just not that color).
 
Looks perfectly normal to me. The colour is nothing like the one I have either. I can only assume it is either not an odoe but very closely related, a regional variation or quite an old specimin. The dorsal fin is amazingly long on that one too as well as the flaps on the mouth being very big/long. Very nice looking fish though.
 
The mouth, especially on breeding age males has sort of an odd trianglular "lift" on each side, this is normal. There is a line drawing on fishbase.org that shows it very clearly
