Alright which one of you did it...... I was down at my favorite fish store in Portland Or the other day and I saw something I had to have. A Jack Dempsey pushing 14" This male was a MONSTER. I imeadly got a clerk to sell me this fish because I had to have him. He reminded me of Green Terra's hulked out jag but as a JD. When the clerk got around to me he pointed out a small sign that said. "large Jack Dempsey sold." The worst part he was sold for 15$ I would have payed 50-100 for him I know it sounds stupid but this Is the legend of all JD's. So My question to you MFK is who was it? Who got him? I need to find this fish. It could not have gone to anyone else but a MFK member. If you bought him and you are reading this.... i will find you...... and I will pay you..... And your Jack Dempsey will.......Be......Mine.........

lol hilarious..but just grow your own and it will feel 100 times better when he has reached his full potential..!!
 
I hope my JD gets that big. Good possibility it wasn't an MFKer. I see people in my lfs all the time that go straight to the only big tank they have and purchase the 2 12" O in there, 20" Common Pleco, and the 10" Midas (just an example of the last time I saw this) because dude thinks his 75 gallon tank IS HUGE!

Sometimes I see these same people repeat this process of buying up all the large cichlid the lfs have in their one big tank. Kind of makes you wonder. Is he just continuously overstocking, overstocking, or are the fish dying from massive amounts of nitrates and aggression and he's just constantly replacing them with whatever big fish he can. My money's on the second one.

No... The one to blame is here... I can feel it

On a side note I am that guy at my fish store but My fish dont die. I sell them to friends and other stores but to my lfs It must look like I have either one hell of a stocking problem or over 100 tanks lol
 
I can't show mine anymore, he passed away 2 days ago =(
