That's actually more or less their average size in the wild, it's just not the ideal size for shipping back to the US..I haven't seen any for sale in the US in a while.

Yeah, I'm assuming that shipping will cost more than the fish itself.

Thanks Vince, but looking for something a little bit different. Knowing my luck, my wife will see a regular ck at a LFS and bring it home.

The growth rage was slow for mine because I brought him in so big. I would assume about 1.75 in a month. Yea it's inpossible to import one fish. Is a grand for one box.

This BGK is huge any more pics of this beast? Duckhead knifes and BGK seem to fragile for your tank. The gold line is a tough fish!
 
still on the hunt for one of these. Segrest farms has it on its list of things to get for me, but told me it could be a seasonal fish. mattmez mattmez or any knifefish pro: what is the season for the goldline knife?
