This amazing giant neon tetra was caught recently in Korea. Scientists are not sure whether is a completely different species or simply overgrown Paracheirodon innesi. Korea gets pretty cold in the winter, so I don't think that neon tetras, which are found in tropical temperatures, can survive over there. All evidence points to it being a completely different specie in a characidae family. In any case, we'll have to wait and see what the local Korean scientists publish on this incredible catch. It definitely belongs in every monster fishkeeper's tank. I definitely hope that Korean government allows some of these manly neons to be exported.
