Monster PBs caught in 2007

So how do you rate the fight of LMB against PBass?

As for the fight. They are both good fighters. However, the PBs tend to be feister and the LMB tend to be easier on the drag, probably because of their shape and may make longer runs. This particular LMB was quite easy due to its weight. This was probably no more than 3 pounds although it is 19 inch. Looked emaciated to me and was hungry enough to go for the lure. Most of the PBs I've been catching appear to be better fed and heavier. I think the Ps in the local waters are eating the LMBs lunch and out competing them for the food supply.

Does not look like I'll make it to 100 by end of August. Fished yesterday and earlier this morning. No catch yesterday but had some good targets but not even a bite. This morning was not much better. Saw only lone Ps roaming. Did not even bother to cast. The easy catches have disappeared with the lack of recent rains. Your best bet if you're fishing South Florida this long weekend is with live shiners or find pairs roaming with their schools.

At least I got it closer to 100. Caught two after lunch at two different spots. First catch was a 16 inch male and the other was a 13 inch female. Pics are in the latest catches thread in the fishing section.
Caught this monster sized 17+ inch female off Wild Lime beach. Also hooked it's bigger mate but it got away and took my last remaining glass Rap Shad lure.
My monster catches stand at 24.
Walked back home, picked up my Back Pack with my other lures and went back fishing and caught 4 more to tie my last year's highest count of 108.
