just bought this afew days ago

i officially took the initiative to begin my upgrading project, but it will be slow and done peice by piece.

and im going to start at the filteration system

to start i bought the heart of the system

a ]V[ONSTER PUMP

its a quiet one 9000, rated at 2,328. Wattage is rated at 145 watts!

but with head pressure and all from the height of the tank and stand combined it comes to around a solid 2000 gph! :naughty:

im going to be using canister filters instead of wet-drys

so im debating between the ocean clear series modules (mechanical, chem and bio) or the pentair aquatics modules. any suggestions?

Del, you should have got a hold of me, I could have got you a deal;)
I just got another quiet one pump. I love those things. They're powerful and very efficient. Great choice my friend.

Edit: Why canisters?

wet-dry are too noisy for my moms liking, i have to go canister :(

besides i like the micron filteration modules and the FB filters, with all that sufraces area and water polishing qualities! :naughty:

superior water quality is the name of the game!

btw i nearly shat myself when i saw the size of this thing  :WHOA:

The Ocean Clear filters are rock solid. They're your best bet if you REALLY want to use canisters.

ever thought about Tetra Pond filters?
