It's been a while but came back and had to show you guys this..came across a pond in miami dade loaded with nothing but red oscars! One was a giant at 2.14 lb (not measured but maybe 15-17") before this my biggest oscar was barely over 2 lb. and 13"
From what i hear, there is an even bigger Oscar they say is yellow,so i'm thinking it's a Lemon Oscar.From what i hear it has huge eyeballs..which made me think right away,ok, it gotta be an Oscar and not a Red Devil.

At the same time I was introducing the new Backpacker rod from penfishingrods.com and didn't think i'd get anything big, my goal was just to catch some nice fish,video includes a bunch of smaller red oscars caught this day about 6 or 7 and included more pictures.
