Well Tiger barbs get about 3"
T-Barbs get about 6-8"
Tinfoil Barbs do get 12+"

Tiger barbs get 3 inches tops. They have great color and school nicely and are very active. That's why I'm thinking a Monster school of them would make a great show tank in my living room.
