Anentome helena aka Assassin Snails, just the thing for you folks overrun with other species and tired of picking them out. They will eat MTS as well as "pond" snails, ramshorns, etc. They will eat dead plants, leftover food, whatever they can scavenge if there aren't any other snails available. They don't eat their own species unless they're already dead. Reproduction and growth rate are also slow, and dependent on eating other snails (no snails = no eggs, though I have heard that bloodworms work too.) Only 1-3 eggs are laid at a time, and take about 7-8 months to reach full size (~1", or about the size of a large MTS.)
I put together a group order a few weeks ago, received about 25% DOA's, and will be getting them reshipped next week. If you want some they're $5 each + shipping ($7 for Priority Mail.)
Just post how many you want so I'll know how many to add to the reship order. After they arrive I'll sort out the dead and feed the live ones for a few days before shipping out. They seem to like frozen bloodworms as much as they do other snails, and will eat algae wafers IME.
