If you had something that was like 400 gallons. What cichlids could you stock it with??? Like a single fish could not kill every fish in a tank this big could they???? Like my 150 felt like it was huge until I realized one fish can easily own it. If you had something like 400 gallons what would you stock it with???

Hmmm I would stock it with Oscars, and Tilapia.

In a 400? I'd put

a couple of oscars (like a red & a natural/wild colored)
couple of severums
uaru
couple of (are they still classified geophagus?) jurupari
tinfoil barbs
redtailed chalceus
arowana
a gar
couple of polypterus
lima shovelnose

Some big fish but nobody that you'd expect to go completely nuts & kill everything else...

Giant plants, big driftwood, German Blue Rams, Amano Shrimp, and a giant school of Cardinal Tetras.

a Parachromis community....something i really want to do

doviis, motas, jaguar cichlid, loisellei and friedrichsthalii

itd be really cool

parachromis all of em plus red terror umbee black nasty and a bunch of others. think of those tanks that have a ton of aggressive fish to get rid of any territorys thats what i would do a giant army of big and aggressive cichlids i wan't a tank that you worry about because the fish in it would tear you appart if you fell in

if it was me, id go either a nice gorgeous big pair of umbees and some dithers, with some drift would and plants but mostly open water
:D

or i would go
1x Butti
1x red devil
1x festae
1x trimac
1x polleni/ large spot
1x black nasty
a couple big lip labiutus from rapps :D
one of every parachromis besides dovii
a couple veja
a couple oscars
and a lot of dither fish / silver dollars and a couple tin foil barbs
put a bunch of drift wood and fake plants

I think thats the way id go
:D

and killer fish that stock probably wouldnt last even in a 1000 gallon tank!!
