Monster watches !

I tried 2 omega speedmasters last night at the local jewelry store and im surprised
at the diameter.. they are a bit on the small size.
Wesley, there are three sizes of the men's black faced Speedmaster chronos. The smallest is the Speedmaster Reduced automatic (model 3510.50) at a girly-manish 35.5 mm. Then there is the Speedmaster Day Date automatic (model 3520.50) at an intermediate 39 mm. The classic Speedmaster Moon Watch (model 3570.50) is a large 42 mm in diameter, but it's a hand wind model. For reference, a Rolex Submariner is 40 mm in diameter.

I tried the 39 mm model and for some reason it felt smaller. I guess its from all that looking i do on the internet.

I bought an Alba Manta ray dive watch with an automatic Seiko movement,(only like $ 120 bucks, not rolex I know! ) :( I wanted a new dive watch and this choice was greatly influenced by MFk! Thats why I chose it because it had "manta rays" all over the blue face ! I couldn't pay thousands for a watch unless I was filthy rich! :(

Since this thread was active, I've added a Hamilton Khaki Field Chronograph to my collection. It comes w/ the Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph movement. At 42 mm diameter (not including crown), it qualifies as a "monster" watch. Plus, the damn thing weighs close to a 1/2 pound.

I'm in the market for a new watch. Looking to spend ~$2500. I'm looking for something flashy and youthful. Any ideas?
