Thanks for the vote of confidence!

My concern is that with their comments, other aspiring MFKers who chance upon my vid might think twice... seeing that most "fishkeepers" in there comment that its a big no no way of fishkeeping!

We need more MFKers in this world! :headbang2
Every time I see that tank I get that butterfly feeling, I get excited cause I wana be there some day. I can't take the next step yet (up from a 90 gallon) til I get a bigger house. I don't have the room right now. So I don't think it discourages anyone...Not me anyways. I can't wait to get to the "Next Level." its like the "Fish Keepers All Star Team!!"

When I go you'll all know

AWESOME JOB MAN!! :headbang2    :headbang2

Personally, I'd love to have a much bigger tank.
My place isn't that big (only 110 sqm) and I can only have this tank in the house.
Until the day my wife gives the blessing to convert my guest room into a fish room, this is what I have to live with.

I'd have a huge cube tank just for the rays. Prob a 5x5x2 feet ray tank.
Then a 7x2.5x2.5 feet oddball monster tank!

You cant please them all Marshy.. but who cares , you got more than 80% of MFK members drooling at your tank !

more like 99% :D

ignore the haters! your tank rocks!:headbang2

stunning tank. don't worry about the haters. i've tried battling people on other sites when they talk sh*t about mfk style tanks and realized its best just to stay here and learn as much as i can about the hobby, not get mired down in hatred and ignorance.

I keep saying it, again and again, "overstocking" is a credit to the MFK'ers when the tanks look like yours or others belonging to people of your fish keeping quality..

don't waste your time worrying with guys who whose only reaction in life is the cybernautic flame....

I agree that your fish look great but I can see where others are coming from. You have species in there capabile of reaching nearly 4'. I don't have problems with heavy stocking if done right and maintained right but I don't agree with keeping fish that grow larger then their tanks can handle. No offence, maybe you have upgrade plans or intend on getting rid of them in the future but if you plan on keeping them for the duration of their lives I'm sorry but I just don't agree.
BTW, I'm just curious. What are your water changes and filtration like? How high do your nitrates climb in a given amount of time?

IME, the people who post negative comments on youtube tend to be ignorant "e-tough guys", essentially teenage boys with little or no real world experience. Their opinions are not even worth considering, IMO. For each negative comment posted, there are probably 100 adults who view your tank and are amazed, but simply choose not to post comments. I've never posted comments on youtube. Why even indulge the idiots?

Sorry Mods if this is the wrong section for this thread.

It would seem most common fishkeepers are absolutely against Jap style monsterfishkeeping.

Just take a glance at the comments posted on my monsterfishtank!

Some of the recent posted comments:

"you don't need a bigger tank, you need fewer fishes. those beautiful fishes don't deserver to stay in your ****ty tank. retard."

"I read your backed comments. You have a 1000L tank. That is 264 gals. I personally would only have 200" of fish in that tank. You said you've had the tank like this for 2 years. I have to be impressed with your abilities for water changes and filtration. You have them all surviving, good job but would you just want to survive?"

" You are an idiot. Like to see you having to survive in a tiny room. I think you're cruel."

Comments?

I've been keeping big fish in big tanks for almost 30 years and your set-up and fish are among the best I have ever seen. Forget about some ignorant people. Well done!
