Always a very wellcome sight, seeing that tank of yours!!!!!

tank is spectacular i wish i had so many beautiful fish.
question for you it is related to your video,
i noticed that a datnoid was rubbing a little bit,
now please bear with me my GT rubbs a little as well
as proud owners we naturally care for the well being
of our fish , sometimes i think i get to paranoid about them getting ich
what are some of the other peoples opinion on them rubbing
in other words , very few times during day you dont worry about or you
medicate at the first sign of rubbing do you wait for super rubs my tank temp barely fluctuates maybe 2-3 degrees according to the therm.
i dont want to be paranoid patty but i want my guy to be happy and healthy,
please tell me your thoughts on this and anybody else who wants to chime in ,
thank you for your patience with my long post

PS i posted it here because it was generated by me seeing the dat rub the bottom of tank:)

Wow man, I was a member of aquariacentral before MFK, and that tank would probably be flamed over there too... but it seems to be a very traditional mindset over there or something. I don't think I'd have so many big fish in the same tank, but that's mors of a taste thing for me - I like the buggers to be albe to run around and hide and stuff - fun to watch.

Those rays are really pretty! Nice Aro, too. I take it everyone gets along well enough? I've heard a lot of people (mostly at AC.com) poo-poo fish combinations likc cichlids (or anything, really) with rays, saying the fish will pick on the rays.

Thats not Jap style if it were you would have around 11 more datnoids - 14 more aros about 17 more rays and maybe just 9 more zebra shovel noses =]] Also your fish quality is INCREDIBLE! QUALITYQUALITYQUALITY

You can do that???
I trust you as a MFK, you bought an aro, that's enough for me.
But It does look overstocked.
Can someone please explain to me how this works?
Not meant as an insult, Just Interested...

This is an old post, like real old.:) But since it's up now I shall post my opinion.

Nice big large tankbusters. That's the MFK way!!!!!!!! Sure they won't live the quality as if they were in the wild, but It's tank. Unless your going to build a 10k gal tank for an Oscar it will be fine. Fish do travel to eat(not all some are ambush predators), they might go 50 feet down the stream to find some grub, so unless your building a huge tank then no fish has the best quality of life.

Also people were posting about nitrates being high and what not. Life isn't perfect. Yeah sure an Oscar might live 15 years in the wild, but it's not in the wild it's in a small tank. Even a 1k tank would still be considered small when you relate it to the wild. We do what we can. Now let this man(or woman:naughty:) have a damn awesome tank. :)

:iagree: with that

but i do think it is a bit overstock(just little) , but that is a nice tank , hope to have like one day.

probaly people are just jealous or don't know what they are talkng about.

god i love that tank....

screw them your tank is f'in sweet we'll fight them MFK peeps vs. idiots
