some angels might not like being in a tank with larger fish and go psycotic!:screwy: and in the aro/angel tank those are pretty large angels so there probably wouldnt be any problems with aros! if the angels were large enough

The two marble angels with the aro are pretty aggressive also

I love angelfish but my boyfriend says there not aggresive enough of course he is a bloodthirstyfish guy lol, maybe he's right

I have a 5" angelfish with 2 9" senegals. I kept a really close eye on them for the first few weeks, but everything is OK.

in my 150 gal, until just a very few weeks ago..

we kept 1 pbass, 1 5 inch angelfish, 1 arowana (was about 6 inches when we got her she's about 10 or 11 inches now), 2 oscars and 1 RTC.

the oscars NEVER bothered my angelfish, even swam with him as buddies often. the reason we separated them was because the oscars teamed up and tried to shred my arowana. And because i was having nightmares about getting up in the morning and finding my angelfish shredded..

the oscars got moved to a 100 gal tank that will probably be their home for the rest of their lives. the RTC went with them temporarily. and the biggest pleco, the one that came with that 100 gal tank is there too.

i got a deal on what i what i've recently come to find out is a 45 gal corner hex (what i thought i bought was a 75 gal corner hex, one of the hazards of dealing with private parties). so i decided to make that an angelfish tank, so Gabriel got moved over there and we got him 4 new angelfish to pal around with. But he keeps looking through the glass at the big aquarium, trying to get back to the big pbass and arowana that are his buddies..

My guess would be that your angelfish will probably be ok with the less aggressive arowanas, and almost any catfish (at least until the catfish is big enough to eat them). I've also seen angelfish in a tank with CK's but don't know if that was long term or temporary..

I have several monster fish like gars, arowanas, RTC, ARTC, oscars, clarias, pangasius, bichir, and CK's in communities. I also have 6 angels growing in a separate tank, but I want them to join a monster community since these have killer filtration. Which of these monsters will accommodate 6 angels (as tankmates, not supper)?

The bichirs would. I keep my angels with them and always have, but I have to warn you - feed the bichirs or they will go for the angel. They just damage the fins, not the fish, but they will get aggressive when they get hungry. As long as you feed daily/every other day, there will be no problem. I had my issue only when I covered the tank for 6 days for an algae bloom and the bichirs got hungry.

Thanks for the inputs guys! I transferred my angels to another tank with Id sharks, and they're loving it. They're quite large now, around 7" across. :)
