He's defiantly not a hybrid though and was wild caught, collected and exported out of Venezuela. Temensis are a lot a like all the rest of the cichla's as far as having different appearances depending on collection points and location. If you Google them you'll see many different looking tems even of the same size. Obviously Temensis when they reach sexual maturity change into their breeding color & pattern during spawn but that aside you can still plainly see differences in this cichla depending on collection point. Here is a photo of another Ventuari Temensis that looks similar to mine, it was kind of hard to find but I did. This Temensis is a bit larger and more mature than mine however non the less looks like the one I have.
