Moon light led

Yes you can use that power supply unit (PSU). Or if you have a wall wart (what they're referred to as) from an old c-phone charger that has the same ratings.

'Bonding'...normally you solder the LED's to the resistors and wires, you could use crimp connectors if you don't know how to solder. If your soldering don't over-heat the LED's (hold the leads with needlenose pliers to act as a heat sink).

Wire... Speaker wire, lamp cord (kinda big), Radio shack has what you need or walmart for thin speaker wire. See if a friend or family member has anything too.

And just be very mindful of the polarities (+ -).

With complete units plus power supplies so inexpencive I don't understand the desire to fabricate your own...Sure it's possible and not that difficult but your still left with the housing and mounting problems and that could bump the eventual bill well up over the price of a complete unit

could i use a power supply such as that one ^, and i tried posting the image of the schematics I dont know if it worked or not if it didnt ill try again

Yes you could use it you just have to put a resistor (R=12volts/500mA,but its better to use the one with the lower volatge, that picture has a 12volt output while the LEDs only require 1.5 volts...You can also use a potentiometer to control the voltage.it can also function as a dimmer

You can custom place the lights where you want them and say you DIY :D.

Or ten LED's in series need...wait for it...12v :D

I agree, its like trial en error:ROFL: just make sure the LEDs are not too bright or is pruducing to much heat coz LEDs that heats doesnt last long,it will burn...A mulitmeter will help a lot on this

LOL..That's what I'm planning to do...after all I DO have to mount them to the hood...run the wires...set the timer.....

Use a fan for cooling.
