Moonlight tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Here's some of my old moonlight setup. A bunch of LED's have started acting up in it so I don't use it anymore, don't like the flickering affect it has now and don't know if it affects the fish or not with the constant disco effect it has in the tank.

Once I get some money to start some "experimenting" I'm going to try setting up a cold cathode system to see if that does a better job. I've had a red one running in my computer for about 6 years now so it should service a fish tank for awhile :)

gotta get me some night lights then:D :D

Nice pics everyone. Moonlights are something I've been wanting to do for a while now. Does anyone have pics of their DIY lights and how they have them all wired up?

Looked good, it wouldn't affect your fish negatively.

Thanks. Maybe I'll just take out the burnt out LEDs and replace them or check for loose wires. ( I think I dropped it a couple of times and that's what caused the blinking and non working LEDs :irked: )

Cool. What colour you going with, so far everyones into the blue (which i have to say would be my preference).

Havent turned mine on in about 8 months but those pics made me fly over to the tank and switch them on.
