Moonlights

Moonlights are benificial only for the owners. They will help lure out your nocturnal fish. I have tried several different styles, and colors, and the best I have found is the blue R2 moonlight. Dependent on the fish however. I noticed most of my cats reacted well to the blue color, but knives respond better to the green. By the way, Silver aros look awesome under a blue light.

i've always heard that fish react to blue light the best and red lights cant be seen by them. Something about them reacting to blue light more because water reflects blue light and the opposite for red.

bought it for my devilcatfish, still it doesnt come out. d demon comes out only pitch black:(

Try some different filters, my marble cat reacted best to green, as did knives. Red didn't seem to work well at all with the fish.

In my experience red did not work well at all. Blue and green were the two that worked the best.

I was thinking about getting them. I was going to set mine up so they create a dusk or dawn effect. i.e. turning them on an hour before my normal lights go on and leaving them on an hour after the lights go off. My fish sometimes freak out when i turn on the lights on and off so it might stop them from freaking out.

You can also try turning lights on in the room before the tank lights. If you have your room light on an hour before, it will simulate dusk and dawn, using a moonlight will mimic night time.

That's what I do:thumbsup:
