is it morally correct to feed your unwanted fish to larger fish as feeders? i do it wish sick and uncureable fish but how about to make room for fish tank or for new fish?

not even a questions of morals here but...
why would you feed a sick fish to another one?:screwy:
you quarantine feeders, to make sure exactly that doesnt happen.

the only sick fish ive used as feeders are mbuna with the malawi bloat or when i notice they cant swim right anymore.

still wouldn#t suggest feeding sick to healthy, doesnt matter the problem. if you wanna make room in a tank by taking out healthy fish could you not take them to your lfs??

I agree with all said. Why feed sick to healthy, no matter what the sickness/problem. The only exception I would see is genetic defects (extremely crooked spine, something that will alter a healthy life), and that would only be done if bringing up fry. As far as to make room for more fish, why not take them to the lfs? Maybe even get credit towards your new fish.

Perhaps Joe had a 180G coldwater tank filled with 15, regular, healthy goldfish. Would it be ok if he fed every single goldfish to his RTC over a period of 3 weeks to make room for different fish?

moraly treat a sick fish... if untreatable let the fish die normaly dont rish feeding a sick fish even if the fish wasnt sick it isnt good to feed large feeders imo
