Moray Eels - some quick questions if you please?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Figured I should chime in although I'm rather new to this forum.. I currently have 3 morays.. A white mouth, yellow-headed, and undulated, with the white mouth being the biggest at around 2', the yellow headed at 1' 8", and undulated about 1' 6".. So far no problems with each other, even during feeding times.. They seem to be okay w/ each other, but other fish get eaten quickly.. I have them in a 125 at the moment, but will be upgrading to a bigger tank to house them and a few groupers by the end of the year.. It seems to me the biggest thing is space.. Each eel has a 1/3 of the tank to themselves, where they chill..

Great of You to comein! And wellcome!

I no longer have any eels, however wanted to chime in about the G. moringa. I had mine for a while with other eels, and they are fairly outgoing and active compared to most morays...but pretty aggressive as most Caribbean morays seem to be. The whitemouth have a similar look, but much more attractive...kept both and would go with whitemouth
