Very nice looking biotope tank you got there (except for the sand). Thanks for sharing :) Full tank shot (FTS) please?

I would have loved to have a more natural looking substrate, but at the end of the day I wanted the bichir's patterns to come out as much as they could. Im keeping mostly upper jaws, and im only keeping 2 lower jaws. From what i've read on the forums I needed to mix mostly black with a little red to accomodate the darkness of the upperjaws, and the contrast of the lower jaws. Garnet sand and black sand was way too expensive at the time, and cost a fortune to ship. I bought the substrate I had while it was on sale, and had free shipping. I only paid about 50 dollars for the entire tanks substrate. I guess my tank is less of an african biotope, more of an african theme.

Wow, you have alot of great fish in there. Loving the kingsleye, I have six myself. I wouldn't have let that rock sit by the dumpster for a week. If it's by a dumpster it's free,lol... The whole setup looks great!!!
