think you meant 'sports' there, but this is so true. i would say that the bcs is all about the money, but in reality, a playoff system would bring in so much more money, so i still can understand the idiots holding it back.

year after year its always the same thing, everyone pleading for a playoff system and the bcs saying the current system is the best. it really is too bad too, because the bcs just got another president that wants to stay true to the current system. :(

no i meant it as i wrote it.

there are other divisions of college football.
division 2, division 3 and NAIA.
The ones on TV is division 1, well they changed the name, but that is what it is.
All other divisions of college football have a playoff.

well, that why division 1 football goes into the NFL draft as drafted... NFL teams look at division 1 football because it suppose the best and train the player the best or wutever.. tougher atmosphere.. blah blah blah

At least in college basketball, the small teams have a chance.
the bigger schools usually get the best players and coaches and facilities, so they usually win, but anyone has a chance in the playoff format of college basketball.

In BCS football, only the BCS schools get the chance.
If Notre Dame and USC had 1 loss, people would be saying they are the greatest teams ever and would have been ranked 3 and 4.

Takes a 500 record to even get those teams out of the top 20.
Non BCS school loses 1 game and they are out.
They win all the games and they get no respect, or a chance to prove they can beat the BCS schools.

division 2 and 3 sports are only relevant to the graduates of the schools or people who live in the small towns where they have these schools. it's about money and division 1 sports is what generates revenue and the nfl does their recruting at the D-1 level. i could not even tell you who won the D-2 or 3 titles last year. until D-1 football has a playoff system in place, we will be debating this issue.

I was interested in the bowl season until I heard TCUvsBoise, I then lost all interest. The only game I might want to watch now is the Rose bowl. I usually try to watch every bowl game, but then I would want to bet on them and I'm really trying to not bet anymore. This is one of those years in college football that is not that exciting to watch. I would have defiantly watched any TCUvBCS and BoisevBCS. What a joke… TCUvBSU. IMO, I really think Plus 1 is better then playoff for D1 football.

Boise state and tcu may not be heard of alot but they sure play like a team worthy of not bein written off

I bet they will screw the non big teams again.

If Boise and Houston both go undefeated i bet they make them play each other, but not for national championship.
Not saying they are the best teams, but if one or both go undefeated at least one should get the chance to play for the title.
