More fish or too many already?

The plan is to upgrade when the loaches get bigger. It was more an inquiry as to if I could possibly get any midrange fish and if another pictus would do anything.

Why is everyone saying to get rid of the clown loaches? Do you guys know how slow they grow? They grow pretty fast up to like 5 inches, and then let's wait another 10+ years to reach full size.

Upgrade to a 75 within the next year- and then add more fish.

I'm well aware that the loaches will get large. The plan is to upgrade when they get bigger and we can afford a larger tank. Right now they are only four or so inches and will take years to reach full size. My boyfriend is very attached to his fish and wants to keep them and wants them happy of course. The pictus just hides all day and isn't very active, would another pictus liven him up or just cause problems amongst tank hierarchy?

yea way too many as is! only upgrade stock if your tank size is a nice upgrade as well

Your'e tank is fine but don't add anything else. The loaches will be all over the tank once they get used to it. The type of plecos you have will not get that big about 6 inches. The bala may reach 12 inches still. just keep up on your weekly water changes 50%.
