i noticed that on another site you were wondering if that strain is f1< i have tried like hell to get bill of ladings or import export papers to verivy that they came to thailand via south africa but to no avail. so i dont reffer to them as f1, im satisified knowing that there is another blood line, with three to work with you should be able to produce some nice fish. how do you pland on the management and selection process to id specific traits that you want in the fish youll be producing?

As far as the selection process I don't really know yet. I have to get all these fry to breeding age before I really worry about that too much.
Here are two pics of the breeders that died the night I got them. My male Fulu and one of the females. So I have an adult female but no male.
He had real nice color and markings before I tried to acclimate him to the tank.

I had my hands on my first adult male Fulu and only for about 20 minutes.man that is a bummer, as your growing them out to breeder size { and they will breed at 1 inch] look for color like one male has more blue than the other or reds or pattern that you think is desireable then let them spawn repeat the process, to draw out traits that you like. watch out if you want diffrent blood lines as i have put out about 600 viable fulu into the market over the past 1.5 years. i wouldnt expect all of them made it to adulthood and are spawning but im shure some are>
