Can you tell me exactly how to tell the difference between a male JD and a female? I bought one from the shop that mystus redtail works at he said that it was for sure a female. Im home from school now and the fish are at my roommates house, but i will be buying a male in the next couple days. I found a shop that literally has a tank fulll of perfect sized males that could possibly be bred with my female, but i want to make sure that they are males before i buy.

And mystus if you read this can you offer more tips, ill google it.

Also how do you host a picture, i am getting my roommate to send me one, how do you do put it up

Im sorry im wayy late on this.
The way to tell is usually the male have more spangles on there face females only go about halfway up USUALLY!
But coloration and all isnt the BEST way to tell.
But usually works out.

For pictures do you mkean in a thread?
If so under your reply window theres an option for 'manage attachments'
click that and you upload.
