Great pics she must love the exercise. Weather now is great for that.

Is she noisy at home?

She will only squawk loudly once or twice if I either leave the room or mess with her cage and I am working on it but other than that, she is a sweet heart and loves to talk (even though it is just gibberish).

Our B&G loved to fly across our property. She would go fly and land (more like crash) into a tree, and sit there. When it was time to come it, we whistled and she would slowly make her way down the trunk and waddle back over. Our other one, would just sit in the tree and call out my husbands mom's name and mess with her. She would yell "DONNA!!!!" in one of the younger girls voices, and scream "Help! Help! Please!" as if the girls were hurt. :D Many times she came running just to hear "hee hee hee hee" from somewhere in a tree... :D Miss them

I love their squawks.

During that cold spell all the parrot owners must have bought their birds inside but over the weekend while in my yard I could hear the parrot chorus from blocks away and was glad to hear them.

Till reading these posts I just assumed that they would fly away if given the chance . As always read "missing parrot" type posts at supermarket, etc of birds that escaped.

I think when most parrots go "missing" it's because when they decided to end their game ...they couldn't get back to their food. Most experts advise to put the cage outside with it's door open if you ever lose your bird.

Addison loves to fly through the house. and even the breeders have their fun. We're hoping that they lay fertile eggs this year. Last time they laid 2 infertile clutches. They are about 8 or 9, so they are about due to get it right...(fingers crossed).

#1 Rex, and Ava. Ava is a little sweety andRex acts like a punk. But once you get control of him, he's nice too. But I do bleed sometimes...

#2 Addison taking a pose. She was picking up some bad manners from the pair. So she stays in the living room with us. Rex and Ava got moved to the front room where they get more daylight to set their breeding mood.

Thanks again everyone!

Clearwater, your macaws look fantastic. Are you trying to train them? Also, are the B/G's more aggressive since they have formed a pair?
Good luck with the breeding project! let us know how it goes!

We try not to interfere with the breeders...but it's hard. Sometimes you just have to play with them, and sometimes you have to intervene when he's being too much of a bully to her. But lately, they have been cuddling and regurgitating to each other. So they recognize that spring is coming, and they are getting rady to try rubbin cloacas.... I'm going to need to get their nest box set up soon.

We teach addison everything we can. She's got a nice vocabulary, and instead of screaming like the other birds, she goes through all of her food groups when she is hungry instead of the shreaks that the other 2 give us.

Have you seen a baby before? We got Addison when she was still hand feeding, and her parents were sending us baby pictures. I hate to say it, but they are pretty ugly babies. They look like a plucked chicken ready to go in the fyer...

Great looking Macaws. Their babies aren't to cute lol but the adults are stunning.

well the newly hatched are definitely not cute, but once they get a couple months and are partly feathered, baby parrots are the cutest things EVER!! with their adorable little innocent faces they are just toooo cute, but yeah aviator harness are the best, they dont have a bunch of buckles and stuff like the others do, and aviator actually sells an extended leash thing for when they are flying that is better than a retractable dog leach, because the dog leash isnt stretchy so when they reach the end of it they are jerked back with no warning, the aviator extension thing is stretchy like a bungee cord so they can feel the tension as they reach the end and can turn accordingly
